Paris Blockchain Week 2025: Bahamut Leads with PoSA

At Paris Blockchain Week 2025, Bahamut captured the spotlight with the official announcement of its PoSA (Proof-of-Stake and Activity) merge - an enormous step in the evolution of blockchain consensus.

As a key partner of the PBW 2025 Hackathon, hosted by BizThon alongside the Solana Foundation and XRPL Commons, Bahamut challenged developers to explore the potential of its PoSA model. Held on April 5–6 at the VO2 Offices in Paris, the hackathon gathered 300+ developers, Web3 pioneers, and blockchain enthusiasts. With a €10,000 prize pool, 11 teams built projects on the Bahamut blockchain, each focused on integrating PoSA into decentralized solutions.

A jury made up of Pavel Aramyan, Web3 Program Lead, and Armen Baghdasaryan, Chief Business Officer at Fastex, selected the top three winners and one special recognition project. Looser Bracket took first place and a €5,000 prize for their project “Gaming Meets Liquidity.” Rod For Bahamut won second place and €3,000 for “Boost Smart Contract Earnings with PoSA,” while Monolith secured third and €2,000 for their “Memes Coin Launchpad.” Pixamut received special recognition for “AI Pixel Wars” and priority support from the Bahamut Foundation Grants Program.

On April 8, Pavel Aramyan took the main stage at PBW to officially launch Bahamut’s PoSA merge. PoSA—Proof of Stake and Activity—is a unique consensus mechanism that rewards validators not just for staking, but for the actual usage of their smart contracts. The more their contracts are used, the more “activity” they earn, boosting their chances of being selected as block proposers and increasing their rewards in a truly decentralized way.

Paris Blockchain Week was the ideal global stage for Bahamut to show its latest innovation, engage with professional developers, and spark a new era of builder-led growth in its evolving ecosystem.
